- Radim Tylecek (University of Edinburgh) is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Edinburgh in Prof. Fisher’s group. He is working on vision for robotics, including image-based 3D reconstruction, e.g., depth map refinement and fusion, and is also interested in the detection of regular structures and symmetric objects in images, e.g. facades.
- Torsten Sattler (ETH Zurich) is a senior researcher at ETH Zurich in Prof. Pollefeys’ group. He has (co-)organized tutorials and a workshop on localization and place recognition at CVPR 2014, 2015 and 2017. He is working on semantic 3D reconstruction, semantic SLAM and semantic re-localization in order to allow robots and other mobile devices to autonomously navigate through challenging environments subject to illumination, seasonal, and geometric changes.
- Thomas Brox (University of Freiburg) is a full professor at the University of Freiburg. He organized two workshops on video segmentation at ECCV 2014 and ECCV 2016 and has been working on deep learning for 3D vision.
- Marc Pollefeys (ETH Zurich / Microsoft) is a full professor at ETH Zurich and currently the Director of Science at Microsoft HoloLens. He has organized various tutorials (including tutorials on semantic 3D reconstruction at 3DV 2016 and CVPR 2017) and workshops, was a general chair for ECCV 2014, a program chair for CVPR 2009, and will be a general chair for ICCV 2019. He is one of the pioneers on the topic of semantic 3D reconstruction, where he aims to use scene understanding to improve the 3D reconstruction process.
- Robert B. Fisher (University of Edinburgh) is a full professor at the University of Edinburgh. He has organised many conferences and workshops (BMVC 1996, BMVC 2006, AMDO 2006/2008, VAA 2001, …).
He coordinates the EC funded TrimBot2020 research project. As part of the project, he is working on 3D reconstruction, data fusion, and mapping abstract semantic maps onto 3D models. - Theo Gevers (University of Amsterdam) is a full professor at the University of Amsterdam. He has organised many conferences and workshops (ECCV 2016, IIC SPIE 2005/2006, VISUAL 1999, 2005, ICME 2005, CGIV 2012, …). His main research interests are in the fundamentals of content-based image retrieval, colour image processing and computer vision specifically in the theoretical foundation of geometric and photometric invariants.
